We encourage businesses and entities to present their circular Best Practices which have been establlished at a regional level and/or R&D projects with the objective of driving the Circular Economy and promoting sustainability.

The Observatory of Circular Economy and Business Sustainability of the Region of Murcia (LOOPA)

We are looking for Best Practices from the Región of Murcia to add to our interactive collection of initiatives and actions that are effectinve in contributing to the Circular Economy and sustainability in our region that serve as inspirational examples.

We are looking for implemented Best Practices that are in operation and have results that support their effectiveness.

R&D projects that are innovative and that are in their development or pilot phase.

Once received, an evaluation will be carried out to assess:

Relevance for the Circular Economy and Sustainability | Innovation | Adaptability and transferability | Durability | Connection with society

Why take part?

You will establish your business or entity as an inspirational example of sustainability and circularity at a regional, national, and European level.

Your Best Practice will be gain publicity as an example of the Circular Economy and sustainability in the Región de Murcia.

If your Best Practice is among the top three rated examples you will receive special recognition.

Phase 1: Register of candidates

Fill out a short form to register your success story and interest. Access it here.

Phase 2: Best Practice verification

Eligibility check and evaluation by a panel of experts. Once chcked, the Best Practice will be published in the the LOOPA dynamic catalogue of Best Practice.

Phase 3: Selection of Best Practices

Selection and evaluation by a panel of experts.

We're looking for Best Practices related to:

Design and production

Design and manfacture of sustainable products and goods, with the incorperation of Ecodesign criteria that aims to increase durability, resilience, efficiency, functionality, and the possibility to update, repair, and recycle.
Development of products and goods that substitute materials for more sustainable alternatives.
Circularity in productive processes
Introduction and encouragement of intenseive technology usein design and production (Big Data, robotics...)
Measures that ensure transparencyof information about goods (as well as their component parts) and services, or services based on LCA .

Consumption, use and business

Models of responsible consumption (bulk, proximity…)
New models of consumption based onservitization and collaborative consumption.
Measures to reduce wate and lengthen the useful life of products or goods.
Medidas de ahorro y eficiencia de los recursos en el uso de los bienes y servicios (movilidad sostenible, autoconsumo, bioclima, cogeneración, eficiencia hídrica,…)
New business models or finance based on thereduction and efficiency of resources and circularity.

Resource Management

Measures to improve the collection and separation of waste.
Measures that improve the traceability of waste.
Measures for the collection of high quality secondary prime materias recovering their circular value in cases where the creation of waste is inevitable.
Solutions to increase, improve and encourage the reuse and purification of water.
